The Hellenic National Military Airworthiness Authority (HNMAA) was established by article 39 of Law 4609/2019 (Government Gazette A’67) as an independent organisational unit within the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS).
For the implementation of this article, pursuant to the authorization of para. 5 of article 48 of the same law, the Presidential Decree 85/2020 (Government Gazette A’198) was issued.
