The European Defence Agency (EDA) established the Military Airworthiness Authorities Forum (MAWA Forum), with the aim of establishing a single European airworthiness framework for military aircraft, issued the European Harmonised Military Airworthiness Basic Framework Document (BFD), which was accepted by the Hellenic Minister of National Defence in April 2014.
It has subsequently issued the European Military Airworthiness Requirements (EMAR), which it continuously updates, taking into account the developments of the statutory – regulatory framework of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
