From September 11th to 13th, the 28th Meeting of the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Airworthiness Regulatory Framework Working Group (UAS ARF WG) of the European Defence Agency (EDA) will be held in Athens, at the Armed Forces Officers’ Club, under the auspices of the HNMAA. The WG was established with the aim of developing a common, harmonized, European regulatory framework for certification and airworthiness assurance of military UAS.
In addition to representatives of the Military Airworthiness Authorities of the EDA Member States participating in the working group, delegates from EASA and NATO will also be in attendance at the meeting.
On September 12th, 2024, representatives of the Hellenic Ministry of National Defence, the Hellenic National Defence General Staff, the Branches of the Hellenic Armed Forces, as well members of the Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Material Association and the Hellenic Aerospace Security & Defence Industries Group will attend the meeting. They will present their capabilities in the design, certification and production of Military UAS, as well as any concerns or difficulties regarding developments in the airworthiness regulatory framework.
