The Hellenic National Military Airworthiness Authority (HNMAA) organised the 35th meeting of the Continuing Airworthiness Advisory Group (CAWAG), of the European Defense Agency (EDA), at the Athens War Museum, which was held from 28 to 30 November 2023.
Apart from the Greek hosts, representatives from the following European Defense Agency members States participated: Belgium, France, Germany, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, and Czech Republic.
The task of the advisory group is the development of the European requirements concerning the continuing airworthiness of military aircraft [European Military Airworthiness Requirements (EMARs)]. The work of the meeting has been the drafting of the second edition of EMAR 145 (Ed.2.0) concerning the airworthiness requirements for the aeronautical products maintenance organizations.
During the meeting, a representative from APAVE/OSAC, a company contracted by EDA, presented the Management System (MS). MS integration will induce significant changes to EMAR 145 (Ed.2.0).
