On June 1, 2023, the recognition renewal process of the following United States Armed Forces Services was successfully completed by the Hellenic National Military Airworthiness Authority (HNMAA):

               a.            U.S. Navy/Naval Air Systems Command/Airworthiness and CYBERSAFE Office (ACO).

               b.            U.S. Air Force/Air Force Materiel Command – Air Force Life Cycle Management Center, Engineering and Technical Management/Services (AFLCMC/EN-EZ).

               c.            U.S. Army/Combat Capabilities Development Command, Aviation Missile Center, Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED).

The recognition renewal applies to all airworthiness activities performed by these services in the areas of design, production and maintenance, for all aircraft under their auspices.

The initial recognition of the U.S. Armed Forces airworthiness system by the Hellenic Armed Forces took place in the first semester of 2019, and the Certificate of Recognition HAFGS-AW-01 was issued on June 4, 2019 with a validity of 4 years.

The recognition renewal was conducted by HNMAA using the European Military Airworthiness Document “Recognition Process” (EMAD R), which has been adopted by HNMAA as a standard process for the recognition of aviation / airworthiness authorities, and was validated by the issuance of the Certificate of Recognition HNMAA-RGN-2023-01 on June 1, 2023. The Certificate of Recognition is valid for 4 years from the date of issue and will be renewed after re-implementation of the EMAD R process.
